Faith for the Family

If you are in a challenging place in your marriage and have contemplated giving up; before you make a decision...think on these things:

"HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT"....How bad do you want your spouse? How bad do you want their heart? How bad do you want your marriage to endure every test, trial and tribulation?

If you really want it and you really want to please The Lord through your marriage, meditate on the following scriptures; to begin re-teaching yourself the reason for Marriage - from God's heart!

(Ecclesiastes 4:9)
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. (KJV)

*We as individuals are laboring but when there is two, there is a good reward for it…We can do more in unity, with help; than we can alone!

(Gen 2:18)
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Meet - adjective 1.suitable; fitting; proper.

*we, the wives were suitably, fitting & properly created to help our spouse*

(Genesis 2:21-25 KJV)
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

*Be One (Unity, one Reflection, one Mind), Naked (Unguarded, Transparent, Free) & Unashamed (Bold, Shameless, Un-self Conscious) with your spouse...

(Genesis 3:4, 5 KJV)
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

*In the beginning Satan had two agendas and he still does to this day:
1. Steal the word of God from you, by perverting it and twisting it to make you doubt God
2. To destroy the covenant of marriage, through the weaker vessel. The serpent went to Eve first, by making her doubt the Words of God. So instead of guarding her husband from falling, she is the one responsible for his fall. SELAH (pause and think about that)!

May The Lord give us a deeper revelation into His words and cause us to get in our rightful positions in our marriages! Let us take our definition of marriage from the truth, which is the word of God and not from the world and satan; the father of lies...

Prayer and Daily Affirmation for Men of Purpose...

Father God, in the name of Jesus give me a Heart to know, Eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying! Lord Jesus Christ, give unto ME the spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of You: Shine Your light Lord and Enlighten the eyes of MY Understanding; that I may know what is the hope of Your calling, and what the riches of the glory of Your inheritance is in ME, And what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward ME who believes, according to the working of Your mighty power, Which Father God You wrought in Christ, when You raised him from the dead, and set him at Your own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (Based from Ephesians 1:17-21)!

What Can We Do?

What can we do for our spouses that we are NOT doing? How can we bring Happiness & Joy into their lives? How can we minister the Love and Compassion of Christ to them in our actions? How can we make them KNOW they are the most important thing in our lives? How can we model it so that our children see it, then model it in their marriages? What can we do to Renew our Love Commitment as we Renew our mind DAILY {but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2 KJV)? Are we COMMITTED to continuing to MAKE our LOVE work & live and THRIVE? Help us Lord!

Once we come to the understanding that marriage is a daily challenge: a challenge to smile a lot, a challenge to love harder, to try again, to choose peace rather than being right, to give rather than receive, a challenge to perform!




A challenge to not smile too hard, a challenge to not brag about your spouse so much, a challenge to not touch, hug and kiss your spouse so much!

There are good times, GREAT times, Okay times, sad times, bad times and horrible times...But the vows many of us took said through good times and BAD, sickness and in HEALTH for RICHER or poorer! Many of us forget these vows often! Although there may be days when we feel like we want to give up...





HOLD ON, HOLD ON, HOLD ON! I pray strength into your being and I pray that the Hope of Faith fills your heart, to EXPECT the best and a turnaround for the Good in your marriage!





A healthy Marriage makes for a healthy family! Keep fighting, it is always worth it!
